MCC Glen Iris is now taking applications for the 2018 Tennis Victoria Winter Pennant Season.

Tennis Victoria’s Pennant competition is the largest interclub representative competition in the country with over 3500 junior and adult players representing 150 clubs. Tennis Victoria Pennant is played during the winter season (April – August) and is played over 14 weeks plus finals. Play begins at 9am on a Saturday morning for Women and at 1pm on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon for Men (Sunday afternoon also Women’s teams available).

The format consists of singles and doubles played on alternate weeks, with all rubbers the best of 3 tiebreak sets. The Men’s Masters (age 45+) and Men’s Open Doubles play a best of 3 tiebreak sets, doubles only format every week.

MCC Glen Iris Valley offers a Pennant only membership for those that wish to participate in Pennant for MCC Glen Iris Valley, but don’t need the unrestricted access to the courts all year round. Please see the membership page for more details.
The cost to play pennant for the season is $70 per player and you can register to play via the following form. This fee covers balls, team registration and a club playing Polo shirt.

Key Changes to the 2018 season: As well as the Queen’s birthday weekend, there will be another bye round for all teams. This will take place on Saturday/Sunday 7th & 8th July (middle week of school holidays.)
