We are very sad to advise that our Life Member, Graeme Cumbrae – Stewart, passed away peacefully earlier this week. Graeme was one of the stalwarts of the legacy Glen Iris Valley Recreation Club and served the club in many capacities over the years, including as President for a number of years. Graeme played an instrumental part in the relocation of the tennis club from Brixton Rise to our present High Street Road site. Graeme was also heavily involved with the Australian Davis Cup Foundation for a considerable period of time.
On behalf of the club and all our members we would like to pass on our deepest sympathies and condolences to his wife Helene. RIP Graeme.
