Kasper or “Kap” as his friends call him, Smith, 12, of Boulder, has battled back from serious complications from a strep infection to win singles and doubles titles at the Muterspaw USGA Regional segment national tournament in September. He practices with coach Kendall Chitambar at the Rocky Mountain Tennis Center in Boulder.
