The upcoming Summer Senior Competition Season will start in October and the MCC Glen Iris Valley Tennis Club invites junior members to register their interest to play in a team. The summer season will start on Saturday, October 5th (Bayside) and Saturday, October 12th (WDTA) and continue into March 2020.
Below is all the info required:
WDTA Senior Comp:
- Entries close Friday, August 16th with teams being lodged on Tuesday, August 20th.
- Round 1 commences on Saturday, October 12th
- Last round of Home and Away Season Saturday, February 29th (finals to follow).
- Formats are below:
- Rubbers: Four players per team. Matches comprise 4 doubles rubbers. Men’s and Mixed sections.
- Singles/Doubles:Two to four players per team. Matches comprise 2 singles rubbers and 1 doubles rubber. May use substitute player in singles or doubles. Open sections.
Bayside (BRTA):
- Entries close on Wednesday, August 21st with teams being lodged by Wednesday, August 28th.
- Round 1 commences on Saturday, October 5th
- Last round of the Home and Away season Saturday, February 22nd (finals to follow).
- Formats are below:
- Men: option 1 – 4 a side (rubbers of doubles). Option 2 – 4 a side (4 by 8 game sets of singles and 2 rubbers of doubles).
- Women: option 1 – 4 a side (rubbers of doubles). Option 2 – 4 a side (4 by 8 game sets of singles and 2 rubbers of doubles).
- Mixed: 1 Rubber men’s doubles, 1 Rubber ladies doubles and 2 rubbers mixed doubles.
