The regular H&A away season has concluded for our Men’s State Grade pennant team, securing an impressive 3rd place overall. The journey towards premiership victory begins with a semi-final match against 2nd placed Grace Park Hawthorn, scheduled for this Saturday, August 26th, at 1pm. Should the team triumph, the grand final awaits the following week at Royal South Yarra.
This season has been fiercely competitive, with each week resembling a final and the standings being tightly contested right up to the end. The league has showcased the pinnacle of Victorian talent, underscoring the high standard of competition. Throughout the challenges of injuries and various commitments, the team has displayed resilience in their pursuit of finals qualification.
The team has admirably relied on the stellar performances of Brandon Laubser, Michael Turlejski, Lewis Miles, Jackson Bruce-Tennant, Sam Dowler, Stephen Kaldawi, Zac Hamill, and Trent Cobb on a weekly basis with Nick Jovanovski playing a few matches in between engagements on the professional circuit.
