Rain on Grand Final day meant that we had to accept the Runners Up pennant in our first season in WDTA.
This team (7 fabulous ladies – photo below) has been together for many, many years (some much longer than others!), playing first in Southern Districts (before it became Bayside Regional) and then changing this season to Waverley District as a trial to meet and play new faces and teams.
We’ve enjoyed playing the 8 game set format, changing partners each set and finishing much earlier than when we played rubbers. We look forward to playing next season and winning the pennant as the MCC Glen Iris Valley A Grade 1 Midweek Ladies team!
