Blake Mott will leave this weekend for the US Open in New York, but before he departed he spent a couple of evenings on the court with the junior players from MCC Glen Iris Valley.

With a current world ATP ranking of 220, it was a great experience for our junior players to gain some insight into professional tennis life. Blake joined the Vida coaching team to help deliver a variety of sessions to the kids; Hot Shots, one on one hitting sessions and development squads.

“His energy, passion and tennis knowledge was fantastic and the kids got so much out of their time with Blake,” said Head Coach Ignacio after Wednesday nights squad session.

Blake is our club’s number one player in the Men’s Premier League (PL) Tennis team again for season 2017 and played in the main draw of the Australian Open at the start of the year. The PL season starts in November and will feature some of Australia’s best players.

Many of our Premier League team members will be joining our juniors through the rest of the year to help create a strong link between our juniors and the PL team. Jaimee Fourlis will be helping deliver a Girls Hot Shots Tennis program once she returns from the US Open also.
