Dear Members,
I write to you following the Federal Government’s announcement about further restrictions to help combat the escalating COVID-19 pandemic.
These restrictions are to keep all of us safe, to protect those most at risk and to limit the impact the number of growing cases will have on our health system.
Aligned with the Government’s directive on non-essential workplaces, the Club’s Board has made the decision to close our Club (including the Roy Street premises) at the close of today (24/03/2020).
Re-opening will only occur when Government policy permits and the Club’s Board determines it is safe for all concerned.
The decision centres on safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our members, volunteers and coaching participants across both our venues.
We will be constantly monitoring developments and reporting to Members as further information becomes available.
This is a difficult time for us all and I hope all Members and their families remain safe and healthy.
