As we approach the Christmas break our WDTA junior comp season is in full swing with round 8 being completed last weekend. We have a record 28 teams representing the club and it is great to see over half of these teams in a top four/finals position.

We have a great mix of teams this season, with 4 new teams being entered along with 16 new players and members of the club. The top end is also well represented, with team 4 teams playing in the top 2 sections of rubbers.
Back in November, we had our annual awards dinner and a few of our junior players received awards for their outstanding seasons in the 2018/19 summer and 2019 winter seasons. Congratulations to Jack Johnson, Bill Chen, Sasha Sahely, Harrison Cutts, Jerry Shen, Robert Phillips, Michael Ball, Eliza Zacharchuk and Oli Johnson on their fantastic team and individual efforts.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Vida Coach Martin who has taken on the new role has junior convenor/supervisor. He has done a fantastic job and we look forward to him continuing on in his role in the coming seasons.
